Shadeling Care Guide
-
gentle cold machine wash or hand wash in cool water, no more than 30c
-
Hang to dry in the shade immediately
-
Do not pack down the Shadeling wet and leave scrunched up, this may cause the colours to leach
-
DO NOT tumble dry
-
DO NOT bleach
-
DO NOT iron
-
KEEP AWAY FROM FIRES - embers will melt holes in the fabric
-
Pack down the Shadeling when not in use. Even though it is of high quality and designed to be in the sun long term constant exposure will cause it to deteriorate. It’s not designed to be left set up in your backyard for weeks on end. The fabric needs an oppotunity to relax
-
To get extra life out of your Shadeling and limit UV degradation, we recommend treating it with a fabric protection spray like Solar Sheild, available here: www.fabricprotectionsprays.com.au
-
The Shadeling fabric (Nylon Lycra) is UPF 50+, which is the highest possible rating for fabric and blocks out 98% of UV rays. This does not mean that you will be competely protected from the sun when under the Shadeling, and it is recommended that you use sunscreen and other methods of sun protection as well
-
The fabric will lose some elasticity over time, especially when subjected to high stretch (specifically where the poles sit). That is just the nature of Lycra and it is unavoidable. Follow the care and set up instructions to get the most life out of your Shadeling
